Hi folks
I do not consider myself 'pro' with rums. For the time I was drinking Pirat from Dominican. I loved it.
Just yesterday came back from vacation to dominican republic. The botle of Cubaney 18yr. old turned out open and I tried it.
What a pleasure it is!
It is mellow liquid gold! I paid about $33 in duty free. Where can i buy it here in NY for reasonable money?
What do you guys think about Cubaney anyway?

I would like to introduce myself:
I am 49y.o, originaly was born in Russia. Mostly drink wines. I am mostly in Californian wines. About 7yr. old was introduced to rum. It was Pirat from Dominican. I was really impressed and I still am.

Please take a minute and introduce yourself in the introduction section of the forum.

I haven't seen Cubaney in the DR before since it is blended and bottled in the Free Trade Zone near Santo Domingo. I'm glad to hear it is available in duty free. Cubaney isn't widely distributed in the US so I can't say when it will be available in NY.

Hi Gogolub,
If you are near long Island, Hatillo Liquors in Brentwood NY is one of the stores i know of that stocks Cubaney. I don't think he has the 18yo, but maybe 2 of the lower yrs.
I have the 5,8,12,and 15 y.o's, and go from very good to great
