I suppose this question could have also gone to the Batavia Arrack forum....
Any info out there re the release of FacileUSA's brand of Swedish Punsch ?
This is prob one of the hardest classic cocktail ingredients to obtain--it is unavailable in the USA, and little known outside of Sweden (A co-worker's
Norwegian husband--and a United Airlines captain to boot--never heard of this type of liqueur....)

TIA

I've heard that there is at least one Swedish Punsch coming to the US. At the risk of sounding like a rum snob, I have to wonder what all the fuss is about Swedish punch. To me, like Batavia Arrack, they lack the finesse that has evolved in the last hundred years or so in the distilling industry.

Sure there's the good ole day syndrome, but I'm looking to be able to enjoy my drink with confidence that I'm not taxing my liver any more than I need to.

My interest relates to the fact that many interesting (and hopefully tasty)
vintage cocktails call for this ingredient. I agree that (like many liqueurs used in cocktails) it probably is not as enjoyable on its own (at least to our non-Swedish palates !)
