Sweet deal on a smooth brazilian...

I stopped in at the friendly NH State liquor store last evening and noticed a great deal on Seagram's smooth brazilian rum... only through the weekend though (11/15)

Normally $19.99 - on sale this month for $14.99 for the 1.75L
Mail in rebate through Pernod for $8 on (ONE!) bottle

So, you can have a 1.75L of Smooth Brazilian rum for $6.99... Great price for a pretty damn good rum - great mixer and even not bad neat.

Also of note were several gift packs for the holidays... Mt Gay with 2 nice rocks glasses, or a tumbler/muddler combo($15), Barbencourt with a collins glass ($17). Oh, Mt Gay had a mail in rebate for $7 back on any 2 products as well.

I have tried more than once to like that Seagrams' offering. It sure is affordable. However, to my palette it tastes like a mellow tequila. I like Oronocco and Santa Teresa Reserva for inexpensive rum. Barbancourt is also terrific, but the quality is so good that I don't think of it as a mixer.
