Hi,
I have a VERY old 700 ml bottle of Rhum Clement from 1931 Paris Colonial Exposition... my french is a little rusty but the back of the label mentions "old mahogany".

Does anyone have any info? This was my grandfather's and I am very interested...

tks,
Linda

Welcome to the forums. Please take a few minutes to introduce yourself and I'm confident you will discover something out about the bottle of rum you mention above.

Hi! My wife and I live in Arkansas. Linda is a HUGE rum fan but somewhat unfamiliar with specialty rums beyond Bacardi, Captain Morgan, etc. Since we both enjoy the ocean, we plan to live on a sailboat in the BVI for a few years when we retire (~7 years off). Linda came across this bottle of rum and we're trying to educate ourselves. So far, we've learned the difference between rums made from molassis and sugar cane. I've never had any Clement rum. It sounds fantastic! This bottle is special to us. We will probably save it for the maiden sail on our retirement boat... but I'd like to learn more about it's history.
Thanks so much,
Kent
