View Full Version : Edwin Charley Proprietors Collection.

While tarvelling through Grand Cayman airport last week, one of the many liquor stores there definetly had the Edwin Charley Collection priced wrong. The Virtue that usually sells for well over $100 was selling for $37 with the white going for around $45.
So if you know anyone going to the Cayman Islands soon, I would ask them to bring a couple back. My recommendation is definetly the Virtue, a fine rum from Joy Spence.

Actually Customs have clamped down here at our airport so I have to be careful how many bottles I bring back now. My case was already full and I even left a couple of bottles at my hotel. If I have any friends going to Cayman though in the near future I will be donating to their trip!!

At that price differential for the the Charley I imagine even paying the Customs Duty would still make it a bargain.

Leaving behind bottles in the Hotel room reminds me of "while my guitar slowly weeps" to quote George Harrison.

Good tune. I know I've left half done bottles with hotel staff that have made my trip...actually it's a bit of over kill but sometimes I drop the half bottle off to a homeless guy. Nothing like watching a homeless guy getting into a nice sipper.

lolololol, that's true gecko. Life can be bitter, but atleast rum is sweet. Every time I see that picture of you with 2 friends, I think, man, I've got to spend more time killing a bottle and less time working. Cheers.cheers.gif
