I guess the purpose of the Connoisseurs Cabinet is to provide the Ministry membership with access to the various reviews we have submitted to the MoR and elsewhere. I think I will start with a couple of links to my review methodology. After all a review without context is probably not much good to any one.

So here is a link in which I explain my unorthodox review system.

My System Thread (http://www.ministryofrum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2656&page=1)

Alternatively you can check out this link, for a similar explanation:

The Dykstra Method (http://therumhowlerblog.wordpress.com/my-review-methodology/)

I realize this is somewhat redundant but as more and more members join the site those links will be buried, and I think it best to allow newcomers an easy way to understand my reviews.

0-25 A Rum with a rating this low would actually Kill you.
26-49 Depending upon your Fortitude score you might survive this.
50 -59 You are safe to drink this...but you probably shouldn't.
60-64 You may offer this to people you do not want to see again.
65-69 Someone may offer you this. You should decline.
70-74 Now we have a fair rum. Accept this graciously.
75-79 You may begin to serve this to friends.
80-84 Very Good Rum.
85-89 Excellent!
90-94 You may want to hoard this for youself.
95-97.5 The Cream of the Crop
98+ I haven't met this rum yet...but I want to.

Very loosely we may put my scores into terms that you may be familiar with on a Gold, Solver, Bronze scale as follows:

70 - 80 Bronze Medal (Recommended as a mixer)
81 - 89 Silver Medal (Recommended Rum)
90 - 95 Gold Medal (Highly Recommended)
95.5+ Platinum Award (Highest Recommendation)

I have resurrected all of my reviews and have them posted in the shelf. All my Ministry reviews that are posted in the MoR data base are listed in one thread, and the reviews of rums that are not in the database yet are listed separately.

Going forward it will be my policy to use the MoR database as much as possible. If a rum is in the MoR database, then that is where you will find the main body of my review or a link to the main body if it is posted on another site. I will post a link to the database in the "Ministry of Rum Reviews" thread. If the Rum is not in the database I will post it in the 'Other Reviews' Thread.
