Initially I was going to try to attend this year. It is high on the priority list for next year, as I would love to visit with the people I met this year in Miami who came in from England, on thier home turf. And they get so many great rums that we don't get here. A trip to Martinique has the number one spot on the list for next year, with rumfest a very close second.
But, I am going to St Barth's from Nov 4-11 to see Jimmy Buffett give a free concert on the warf in Gustavia, to celebrate the La Select restaurant's 60th anniversary. This is the outdoor burger joint that uses the Cheeseburger in Paradise logo, although the song was written about a different story. He has a long history with them, and with the Island.
The good news is that I will be able to procure some hard to acquire agricoles, as the Ti Punch is a drink of choice, and being a French Island, they import more than a few rhums from Guadaloupe and Martinique. I wrote about my last trip on a prior thread, for you agricole fans. No time to look for the thread now, though.

I was definitely going until the IRS and I had a disagreement about how much money I actually have. I'm working on the funding to go, hopefully it will all pan out.
