Neighbors with Rum

[Arrrgh!]

So my neighbor invited my wife and I over this evening to have some beers and drink some rum he just purchased. I am in the process of introducing all my friends to my definition of "tasty" rum. We had a few beers and my neighbor decided to share his new bottle of Sailor Jerry. Good rum for shots, but not what we consider sipping rum. What is the nice way to steer him towards something better, or should we just coax him along his own journey?? Of course any free rum is good, but there is something better on the horizon.

Buy him a nice bottle you think he might like. You could also bring a couple over to his house to share with him, or invite him over to your house to return his favor and share your good stuff. You can't do better than that.

I introduced the misses to sailor jerry, and she has been on a kick lately. I'd bring over a bottle to his house, and proceed to drink a little of his and some of yours. I think the best idea is to invite him over to your place to return the favor and cement good neighbor relations;)

Of course any free rum is good . . .

There is no free rum. Someone paid a price for it. Whether or not it was a fair price can be debated, but someone paid for it. And even if you didn't pay for that rum the evening you drank it, you may pay for it in the morning.
