I'm a real beginner when it comes to cigars. I had my first one not too long ago. It was a Zino Platinum, a chubby from the Scepter series. And I was litterally blown away! I have tried a couple of different ones since, but the Zino is still the best I've tried. I had a Gurkha Ancient Warrior which came close...
Anyways to my question - is anyone familiar with the Zino Platinum? Can you recommend something similar in taste?
And yes, I had some rum with it, can't remember which though. Probably one from the Plantation collection...

If you like Zino, you would probably enjoy a Davidoff, and maybe a Griffins or an Ashton Heritage. The chubby is a good cigar, although not in my particular taste profile. I recently smoked a Zino Platinum Scepter, which was the best Zino I had ever tasted.

I actually got recommended a Davidoff in the cigarshop as well. So I'm going to try that one first. Any recommendation within the Davidoff selection?
I'm going to try the other two after that. I really value a personal recommendation. Thanks Hank!

I think you might like the Davidoff Millenium Series, they are a little richer than the standard Davidoff lines.

Just looked it up at the webpage (http://www.davidoff.com/davidoff/en/pub/goodsmoke/cigars/seriesmillenniumblend.cfm?).
That's one meanlooking short robusto! I hope they have that one in the cigarshop around the corner. :D
Thanks again!

Well they did have the short robusto. Tonight I smoked it after dinner. What a delight! It was really nice!
Thanks Hank for the tip. This is one I'm going to smoke again. cigar.gif
