Is it possible to take an older aged rum that is "brown" in color and distill it one final time to take the color out and make it white???

Yes. One can distill any form of alcohol, even wine, and come out with a clear spirit. The Alaskan Bootlegger's Bible is a good read. "Heads", "tails", temps, etc. are all discussed.
Filtering is generally used in the rum industry to make the silver rums (which usually start as aged gold rums) clear, though.
