The 62 acre Bacardi Distillery in Nassau is for sale for $18m, a bargain for someone with a spare bit of cash!! Click on the link below to go to the real estate ad and some photos of the plant.

Very interesting! The real estate agent could live for quite a while off the commission from that sale.
I saw no mention of the still. Do you think Bacardi has already yanked it out?

I think you and Ed should buy the place and hire all us undesireables from MOR to come work for you there making what we all love RUM. Heck I will work for rum :] Oh wait I already do....Ok throw in an occasional meal and you got a deal.

I just thought of a way to get a real tour of the distillery. I can go to the real estate agent and pretend I want to buy it and get the full indepth tour!! Perhaps I should take more than a couple of pairs of short pants in my suitcase though,g()fy

That's a great idea. I'm down with that.

I remember Phil Prichard saying he wanted to purchase the bottling line there.

A contract was signed this afternoon for the purchase of the distillery and property. No ideas as to who so far.

It wasn't me!! No wonder they wouldn't let me in to have a look around.
The friend who took us to the distillery actually lives right next to it and says she can smell the molasses at night timedrooling.gif
