Bacardi has announced a new premium look for their line of flavored rums. This will be the first change since the original package came out in Bacardi Limon in 1995. The bottle will be a more sophisticated eliptical shape, showing a more modern design. There will also be a change in the label, that communicates a quality product. The label has been completey redesigned and has been reduced in size. The bottle will also have a new satin silver flat top cap. It looks pretty good.

Maybe the quality of these rums will get an overhaul as well.

I can't comment on that, as they were very good to me last week in Puerto Rico. They even gave me a bottle of the Reserva Limitada!! I don't indulge in flavored rums too often, but look out for a Bambarra Coconut coming soon.eek.gif

You've made a very good point. They have been known to be generous. So how is the Limitada?

It is pretty good. It is available outside of the distllery now in several locations. They had given me a bottle before and I also got one from a colleague who was emigrating to Australia, so have a good supply right now.
It is aged longer than the 8 but has more of a profile like the Reserva or Anejo, as it was. Definitely a step up the Bacardi ladder though.drooling.gif
