Recently found Appleton Extra (12yo) perhaps mismarked at $25 at Liquor World in Porter Sq... Seems like it is $35 everywhere else around here.

Last time I saw it was at the Wine Gallery in Brookline. No guarantees, though. El Dorado is with the ultimate "fly by night" distributor in MA.

Fwiw, not including any deals, that's about a buck less than current wholesale...

See, I saw this post and cracked up. There are no deals in Massachusetts. With that said, I have seen that Liquor World pull that stunt a lot. There's ED15 at Ball Square Fine Wines (Ball Square, Somerville, MA), or at least there was about a month ago. Then again, given that I had to ask for it, and it was super dusty, unless one of you has picked it up, I doubt it's gone.

Seemed like a good 'deal' to me... that was a buck less then wholesale not retail ($10+ less then retail)that he was mentioning!! I stocked up on a few bottles as that is one of my favorites. What stunt is that? I'm in, if they are going to sell stuff below wholesale!!

Other then the Extra at a good price, didn't see much else worth buying, except a few bottle of the old cruzan 2yo light.

Thanks for the tips on the ED15... I'll have a look soon!

The last time I was at the Green Street pub in Cambridge, one of the bartenders had knowledge of all the good rum spots (bars and liquor stores) in town. Might be worth a trip over to ask. I think his name was Brian.

Not really in Cambridge, but didn't feel like starting a separate Boston thread. Anyway, Liquorland by South Bay has Flor de Cana 21 for $33.99/bottle. Have at it...
