I am seeing a new rum lately in the stores. Olo spiced rum from Brazil is a golden color in a very nice bottle for about $25. They also have a silver for about the same price, from Constellation Spirits and Platinum Imports in Chicago. Anyone know more about these rums?

Hi, Robert, there is a thread from some time back. But, the 3 letter exclusion on the search function keeps it from coming up, I guess.

I am having a sip of the silver right now just to refresh my memory. Lots of taste. A light sweetness and cane taste. Closer to an agricole taste than a cachaca. It was closed out in Denver (just the Silver) about a year ago at $4.99 (750ml) and I bought 5 cases because I liked it so much.
I remember the spiced as being just that, spicy. Well balanced and not dominated by vanilla. I remember it as a 'winter rum" as I do the spiced Montecristo. The spiced still runs for $20.00.cheers.gif
