I was in Isla Mujeres many years ago but don't think I've ever had MX. Maybe someone else on the forum is familiar with that rum.

I am pretty sure the cane is not grown there or the rum distilled there. Not much on that island north of Cozumel.

I may be on the wrong beat here, but I took Beach's question as purely a travel one. MX = Mexico...not a rum brand.

yes, re-reading it, I agree. Now I can stop scouring the world for the elusive Isla Mujeres MX rum.

Agreed Robert...MX or XM...Island of Women...A nubile, voluptuous rum, stretching it's lycra/spandex seams in eyepopping proportions. I'm still looking for it!
