Edward I need some advice

I am seriously giving some thought into taking my passion for rum to the next level. I will say this I may not know as much as you, but I am willing to learn.

I'm in the process of going back to school for an MBA. I live in DC, but I am a native of St.Croix. Home to Cruzan Rum and pretty soon to Captain Morgan.
How can I , if at all, get my foot in the door with Diageo to possibly work back home. I do know that they will be looking for local and natives to work in the new plant. Any advice? Thanks.

My first impression is that Diageo isn't looking for MBAs to market Captain Morgan from their new St Croix distillery. If I was looking to work for Diageo I'd start by trying to make some contacts in St Croix who were involved in the deal Diageo got to build the distillery there.

Part of these deals always involves commitments for employment, the earlier you get your application in the better your chance of making something happen.

If I can toss in a bit of advice I got from a friend of mine. He's a super competitive sailor, loves to sail, etc. Well, he decided to get a job a Vanguard, a major sailboat manufacturer. He said it was miserable, and almost made him stop sailing. Feel free to disregard, as I am, but just tossing it out there.
