As I was tossing a few tangerine slices into the blender I saw an apple so I quartered it, removed the core, and tossed it in the blender with some ice, dark rum and a little lime juice.
I wish I had another apple.

Your boat has a blender? I'm impressed.

Most refer to it as the "prop" - be sure to keep your arms and legs away from it.

I think a little fresh apple in a drink is very refreshing.

Apples go great with rum (and Whiskey for that matter),
2 Part Mehkong (Thai Spiced Rum that everyone in Thailand calls whiskey)
1 Part Unfiltered Apple Juice
1/2 Part St Elizabeth Allspice Dram
Dash Apfelkorn (or a Splash if you like isweeter.)
Shake W/ cracked ice, strain into Chilled Cocktail Glass.
I agree...apple and rum are a natural pairing.
Rum in mulled apple cider is delicious.
I'm actually getting ready to start my first batch of Mulled Apple Cider Rum Infusion for the year (last year's batch was just too good to not do it again).

That just seems like an absolute natural fit. Sounds good!
