Next week I'm on my way to set up for Monday's New York Ministry of Rum Festival, then the Martinique Magnifique Travel Show Tuesday night. This is a show for travel agents, tour operators and journalists.
Wednesday I'm on my way to London with a few friends to enjoy the only Rum Festival I know of where you actually buy all of the rums you see and taste at the show. Seems we didn't learn enough about freedom in the US but maybe our new regime will take a cue, or get a clue.
Friday there's a party for folks including the contributors to this website, Sat and Sun is the Rum Experience. If you don't have tickets yet, discount tickets are available by following the My Favorites link from the menu above this post, but you have to be a member to get the discount.
So if you've been lurking for awhile, take a minute to register on this forum, introduce yourself and you'll be eligible for this and other discounts throughout the year.
Monday the 27th of October, I'll be in Los Angeles drinking Flor de Caсa
rum with some of that city's best bartenders. If you aren't a member of USBG contact someone who is and find out how you can get involved.
Then I'm going to have a few days rest and relaxation in So Cal. Of course I'll make it down to Costa Mesa to see some of the guys but I'm also looking for some suggestions from forum members for places to enjoy a cocktail or two in the greater Southern California area.
