A friend of mine brought a bottle of this back for me from Brazil in return for me asking him to get me a sipping cachaзa. I am interested in any information you have about this brand and would like to hear of your experience with it. I pick up strong and rich raw cane sugar and cinnamon aromas, and definitely enjoy it more sipping neat than in a caipirinha. I find it much too strong and unusual for that, though once I added a few dashes of Angostura Bitters and that improved the drink.

i have never had it... it is fairly new ( the last 5-7 years) and seemingly made for the American market..

If you have had Leblon, Ypioca, or Mae de Ouro i would be interested in a comparison (having had considerable amounts of all 3, and finding them all to be be of 'Higher quality')..

Thanks for digging that up! Very interesting to learn more about the Cachaзa Triumpho distillery. I'm impressed with how environmentally conscious they are. Would be neat to try their other products as well.

I'm not super experienced with cachaзa, but am looking forward to trying more higher quality sipping brands. I've tried Leblon at a tasting once and enjoyed it but can't remember it much. One of these days, I want to get a bottle of the three you mention so I can taste them thoroughly.

Cachaзa Triumpho really threw me off at first, as the flavors and aromas are very rich and pungent and are much different than those in the mass market cachaзas such as Pitu. However, I feel like a turned a corner with it at my last tasting where I felt like I truly appreciated it for the first time.

Let me know how you like it if you ever find some.
