Was put onto this site by one of thier RUMMELIERS. Looks like a great idea and a great place to go for dinner, a few rums and some rum education in Puerto Rico.

Cana and Picoteo are located in our favourite Old San Juan hotel "El Convento". Cana is a new venue there and I haven't gotten over to visit yet. I hope to soon. Thanks for the link!

I love Old San Juan. Next time I come to Puerto Rico this will be a "must see" on my stay. If only I knew earlier, as I flew through twice on my way to St.Kitts and back recently, but did pick up a few bottles of rum in the airport, now you don't have to re-go through security in Miami airport.
Federico from Cana also says they hope to hold a rum festival in January, so will keep everyone informed if I get any more news. It would be nice to have a break in PR after the busy Xmas season, and try some of thier great food paired with some great rums.

Let me know when you are coming through Rumelier..As a former Sommelier, now converted, I'd love to meet you and yours..and share a meal..and some rum. Old San Juan is a great place and El Convento is a charm in that city.

Will do. I often have to fly through on the way south, so could easily stop over next time if I don't come in January. I'm going to Tortola next summer, so will definetly try and stop over then.
