ONE of Guyana’s beverage giants, Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), has added another premium product to the El Dorado family.
The El Dorado Premium Lite Rum was launched during a cocktail reception on Thursday night at the Grand Savannah Suite, Le Meridien Pegasus, Kingston, Georgetown.
DDL’s latest line of product El Dorado Premium Lite Rum on display at its launch at the Le Meridien, Pegasus last Thursday.
Speaking at the launch, DDL Brand Manager, Ms. Maria Munroe, said that “DDL is proud to introduce such a quality product in the marketplace. The El Dorado Premium Lite Rum is made using the finest blend of aged white rums which is ideal for cocktails”.
Munroe added that “this rum is filtered using the finest quality natural charcoal to produce the unique velvety smoothness on taste and crisp light aroma. The blend of aged rums makes it smoother, mellower and lighter.”
Patrons to the event got an opportunity to taste the product in a variety of cocktails including the cocktail of the night, the Mojito.
The El Dorado Premium Lite Rum mixed with mint leaves, fresh limes, Demerara Gold Sugar and Club Soda provided a fresh, light kick which was enjoyed by many.
The El Dorado products are renowned for its quality and excellence. The El Dorado 12, 15 and 21 year-old rums have won the Gold Medal in this year’s International Wine and Spirit Competition.
DDL’s flagship product, the El Dorado 15-year-old rum also won the Best Rum Trophy. This brand has the distinction of winning the Gold Medal for the past ten years.
The El Dorado Premium Lite Rum which comes in an exquisite package is now available at all DDL outlets across the country. In a special introductory offer, persons will get one case free with every ten cases purchased"
