View Full Version : A "podcast" interview with Ed Hamilton

I came across this interview with Ed quite by accident while browsing the Furledsails website (http://furledsails.com/article.php3?article=709).

It is dated March, 2007. However, short of meeting Ed, (and believe me, compared to Ed I am short) this interview lets us hear him in his own voice, describing two things he obviously enjoys.

Meaning no diminution to this forum, his demeanour, humour and experience come through in a way that is just not fully possible to grasp in the forum here. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

There is a second interview (in the same podcast) with a South African Salt who has had some interesting times at sea in that part of the world.

I'd completely forgotten all about that one. It was just a quick one I did for someone who found me on the internet and is interested in rum, sailing and the Caribbean.

Maybe I should do a weekly podcast about what's happening in the rum world but someone with a completely unobjective viewpoint.

Ed. I think it's a great idea. However weekly may be tough to produce. Why not start with a Quarterly?

You can report on Industry changes, include interviews with the trade and members of this forum.

There's so much to do and so little time. Monthly might be more viable. There are a lot of people I'd like to interview for a podcast.

Ed...I thoroughly enjoyed the podcast from 2007...a monthly podcast interview with someone would be a big plus.

#1 We seriously need to talk. I'm hoping to do some boat and ship design.
#2 What fleet do you sail in, and if its one of the J-'s, a Beneteau, or T-10's what boat?
#3 Winter in Chicago isn't nearly as bad as you make it out to be. Honestly, I rather like it...especially now that I am in Boston. =)
#4 My love of Bermuda is well known. =)
I would also love to see a rum podcast.
