I had the pleasure to sample some of the Imperial Naval Rum yesterday evening and it's still putting a smile on my face today....

Definitely one of the top 3 rums I've ever drunk. I've certainly never tasted a smoother, more rounded and full flavoured 108 proof spirit in my life. I can't recommend it enough.

It turns out quite a few more demijohns have surfaced on the market and there's talk of it being bottled......Hopefully making it more affordable than the $2999 that's being charged for the full demijohn.

The rum sounds wonderful and few spirits have a more intriguing past. One would also hope for a price reduction, lest the liter price still be $750. Perhaps it will be bottled in small splits to increase affordability.

Wow, just wow. This would make an incredible gift. Welcome back Paul.

You know, at $.50 a share, you could probably almost snap up Castle Brands for the same price as one or two of those demijohns (assuming there are less than ~20,000 shares, which is probably unlikely).

I need to get my hands on some to share with you guys for RumFest. Maybe Ian could be persuaded to crack his open, but if not I'm sure I can get some for us to toast with.....

Over the years I've been lucky enough to be in Antigua at the Royal Antigua and Barbuda Tot Club where more than a couple of the demijohns have been emptied. It's certainly a hearty spirit and at over 100 proof goes to show the skill of the blender.

I'm reluctant to say that it is the best rum I've ever drunk it certainly is the most historic.
