There are limits on the number of pictures that can be attached to one thread. You can attach pictures to multiple posts, or link to another site, which is probably the best thing to do.

your cocktail photos look like they came right from a high quality magazine. Very impressive. Not the average amateur photographer or bartender.

The cocktail photos are nice and the cocktails are well constructed indeed.

Thumbs up, lady. My mouth began salivating as soon as I saw the first photos. My challenge has been set for this evening: make just one drink that looks as good as any of yours. If I can accomplish this, I will be all smiles.

Wow, that is beyond impressive Tiare!

I noticed you mentioned using Silver Seal in a Mai Tai. Do you use 2oz of the Silver Seal or is it part of a combo of two rums?

Thank you all for your kind words! i hope i have managed to inspire some of you to try some of the cocktails.
If i can make some of you happy i`m happy too! To create cocktails, syrups, bitters and etc is what i enjoy the most. (and cooking)

tym2relax: When i use Silver Seal i use 2 oz and no other rum, its best by itself.

Those syrups look awesome. What's your rule of thumb on what to refrigerate with those and how long do they last?

Colin, i share a fridge with my 2 teenage kids so i only have the top shelf for my stuff. So everything is refridgerated with them. But i have those plastic caps on top over the pourers. I`m not 100% sure how long they last actually because i usually use them up within 6 months, but i know that the flavor does change after a while.

What is really important is that you sterilise the bottles before you bottle your syrups. I cook my bottles in a large pot and that have got me idiot labeled here at home..and i try to keep the pour part of the bottles clean.

I guess 6 months is a good time before its time to make a new syrup? its good not to make to large batches, actually my bottles are a bit too large.
The fresher the better and syrups are so easy to make, so maybe its a good idea if you make yours a bit smaller than mine.

I made a lovely Rhubarb syrup yesterday.

Cheers!

Tiare's collection of syrup varieties has settled the question re what I am going to be handing out for Christmas presents this year. I will be making several batches of simple syrup with various flavors and distributing them to my "mass gift" list. Thanks for the idea, lady! Yet another way you have inspired me to new heights in my beverage endeavors.
