A found a supply of Ocumare rums recently, a tangerine, a lime, a white and an aged dark rum. The dark rum is rich and flavorful, not quite like other Venezuelan Rums. It's sweet like Zaya, warm medium long finish. I rarely see these rums in Florida liquor stores. Does anyone get these regularly in their region?

The Anejo is one of my favorite rums. I have not seen them available on line for a while now and the last time I did I bought all I could find and the online shops have not gotten on more in now for about 6 months. I hope since you are now seeing them in FL the supply chain may be back in business soon and I can order a few cases. I was getting them for around $11 a bottle which was a steal. How much are they running in FL?

I paid $13.99 for Ocumare Anejo, which I thought was a great price. The store I found these rums in was recently sold to a new owner. They had a strange assortment of rums. I'd guess the previous owner had some old cases of product (like the Lemon Hart) that he could never get rid of, that he brought out to increase the inventory when he sold the place. There were cases of Jack Tar South African, Fruit Infusions, various obscure rums from Venezuela and Trinidad. They had Pussers 15 year old for $60.
Across the street, at another little neighborhood liquor store I found six bottles of Cubaney 15 for $21.99 each, which had to be a mistake. I've paid more than $40 for that same product.

We enjoy the Cubaney 12, but have never found the 15, 18, 21 or 25, except for the recent mention of overseas online. How does the 15 compare with the 12 (which pairs particularly well with coconut water ice cubes)?

I've long been a big fan of Cubaney 12, a well-balanced rich sipping rum, but rarely seen the 15, until recently. Now I've see it at four or five stores in the past month. The 15 gains more unique signature sweet rich mellow tones, plus more exotic spice on the finish. It's a fine sipper. I have an order in for the 18, 21 and 25, but don't expect to receive them soon.

I purchased a bottle of the Ocumare aged rum online a good while back, could not resist it for the price, I thinl it was 11.99. I was very surprised at how good this rum was, better than I expected. One of those great value rums.
The only place I have seen Cubaney is at the Winn Dixie here in Orlando, at $44 a pop. I had tasted it once at Tommy Bahama Cafe, and remember not being sure how I felt about it. Good flavor, but I found it a little syrupy at the time. I will taste it again, but I passed it up at that price.
