Just smoked that Carlos Torano Signature Maduro toro that I was bombed by a buddy on the forum. Started out a bit lazy and flat, say for the first inch or so, but built to delicious, enjoyable and classic finish that had me smacking my lips and nubbing the finale. Thanks, pal!

But Lew, what did you drink with the Sig?

This is a nice cigar that never dissapoints, very reliable. It just got a 9.1 in Smoke Mag.

Smoked it solo at about 1 this PM. Also enjoyed a Tat Brown label Corojo belicoso this evening with iced coffee spiked with Brinleys coconut rum. That was nice, but I enjoyed the CT sig more. Sometimes I find that if I smoke twice in a day (infrequent for the most part) the second cigar has a hard time equalling the first, even if both are good sticks. I don't know why that's the case, possibly has to do with simple overload/overkill. Or maybe the sig is a cigar more suited to my tastes. The Tat is a powerhouse smoke. I have a couple, and may have to give them some more box time.

Carlos Torano has been making and growing tobacco since 1916. From Cuba, Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua they make some great smokes. Try their Exodus Line.

I will have to try the Torano. I saw the rating in the mag last week. They make good cigars, but the few I have tried just have not hit me hard enough to put in the humi. The Tats are a strong cigar, but I can tell you they age very well. That line is one of my favs, and I have some in the humi that have been aging for various times. The strength calms down, and all the flavor comes through.

If you like Tatuaje, try- 601, pepin Garcia, San Cristobal and some of the Padilla stuff(new stuff of Padilla not made by Pepin).

I've tried all but the Padillas. The San Cristobal robusto I smoked a week or so ago was excellent.

I have to back off a bit for the next few days. Smoked out.
