Stopped at my local haunt across the border in Maryland to pick up a bottle of Westerhall Plantation rum and noticed they were now carrying Angostura white for $14.99 for a handle. Figured what the heck worst case scenario I could use it to make foo foo drinks for when my in laws come over. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with it. It has a very slight amber tinge to it and is very smooth. Lots of vanilla and citrus fruit. Was not bad on the rocks. Also mixed up a good Daiquiri (lime, ice and sugar).

What did the bottle look like?
Angostura produces a lot of white rums.

Cheers

Was it, perchance, this bad boy:

Bloody fine mixing rum that stuff. Has anyone sampled the 3-year (off)white rum they also produce?

Cheers!
