Welcome to... The Rum Love Connection.

"Fun-loving rum enthusiast and recipe fanatic from Stockholm, loves to mix exotic concoctions, make fancy syrups, collect Tiki stuff, practice orchidaceous rituals. Enjoys exotic fruits and spices from the four corners of the globe. Looking for like-minded love interest. Let's fill my spare room with a thousand rum bottles from our favorite islands. We'll feed each other fresh shaved coconut, ripe bananas and firm root vegetables from Asia as we sip extravagant and flamboyant elixirs of love and secret infusions of the gods. Wearing nothing more than a few well-placed orchid flowers, we'll rub coconut oil over our skin and wrestle nude on cold marble floors by torchlight until the wee hours of the morning."

Burr, you forget the secret inhaling of the powdered forbidden fruits liqueur dusted with 24k gold to the sound of distant Bora Bora drumming…and the bathing in cool spring water covered by a thousand fragrant tiare flowers sipping rare and precious high end rums by the sunset.

Well, I don't have a basement pony collection anymore.

But the rums have a much nicer place than they did before:

If this keeps up, I am moving to Sweden. Where do I sign up for this service? I dont have 1000, but would 125 bottles do? I like to share.....

Back to the thread.

Also, try your Daquiri's with simple syrup, and sugar cane syrup. You would be surprised how the sugar component can change the flavor profile of the drink. I am sure that all of our mixologists can attest to that. Also, try key lime.

All this sounds too good to be true. Isn't it a little cold in Sweden to be doing anything without the fur coat of some endangered species firmly secured over your body? At least in April.

A splendid concept Robert! Perhaps you could the coin the term R-Date,or R-Harmony.

I would propose a section for BDSM fans (Bartending, Distillation techniques, Single barrel rum, Mature rum).

I have a gallon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a roll of Saran Wrap...Let the games begin!

I don't know about Sweden but in Finland it is quite warm. I suspect it isn't much different over there.

I can't help it; I am still giggling about the BDSM comment. Nice one, Rum Runner.

Cold is a relative expression. I get goosebumps and start shivering when the temperature goes below 72 degrees here in Miami (22 C).

I noticed Ed moved this thread about the Rum love connection from the daiquiri thread to its own. Now it sounds like I am advertising for a love interest, rather than writing an advert for the Swedish Swizzler.

I hear you about getting out the parka below 72 degrees.

I don't see why you can't write an advert for the Sizzling Swizzler from Sweden as well as for yourself...

Milicent...I was just rummaging around for my collection of clothespins and rubberbands...;)

I've heard a rumor that frozen water sometimes falls from the sky in Sweden and Finland.

A Late Night Cock-Tale

... it was a dark and stormy night. I looked in the mirror and straightened mai tai. Jeez, I look like a zombie. Stumbling back to the bedroom, I was amazed at what I found between the sheets -- the Lady of Singapore petting a velvet Mojito. With Maharadja`s revenge on my mind, I searched for the African Bounty, finding only Swedish Passion engaged in a Cold Hearted Threesome.

My friend Goombay Smashed a glass as a fainting goat lay apparently dead on the ground, deep in the black forest.

Your talents continue to amaze me. And I thought you were simply a cyber/photography/audio/publishing/editing/rum drinking geek.
