What label was that bottled under, was it simply RL Seale 10 year old?

If it's a black bottle, slightly curved neck, gold coin embossed on the front, that's RL Seale 10, a very fine, authentically distilled and aged Barbadian rum. Hard to find in the states. A real classic.

Is this the same as XM that is in Canada, or is that a different distiller?

XM was originally from Guyana and RL Seale is in Barbados, they are very different rums.

From the US office of RL Seale here in Coral Gables, I understand the product is here in the US, just waiting for distribution to kick in. We've been privileged to feature the RL Seale 10 at recent tastings here and find it to be a collector's item. I feel confident that this product is authentic, really aged ten years, no gimmicks, no tricks, no additives.

I have a bottle of RL Seales in my collection and I purchased it in Memphis in 2004. After reading these posts I'll have to get a another bottle to try.

On a similar subject when I was in Barbados I noticed another rum called Old Brigand that was bottled in the same type of bottle as RL Seale 10 year. The label was green on the Old Brigand.

Are these rums from the same distillery or are they two separate rums?

Same distillery, two different rums. They also make Foursquare, Doorly's, Tommy Bahama, Crisma.

if you look at the golden coins on the rl seale bottle you ll realise it s the old brigand logo on it

I was lucky enough for the sister-in-law to bring me a bottle of the RL Seale 10 Year Old and a bottle of Old Brigand in the regular bottle from Barbados this week.
The 10 Year Old is amazing and first impressions are unbeleivable, so smooth. I will have to hunt out a regular supply chain for this rum. It will go straight to the top of my favourite premium rums list. Glad to hear it might be available in the US as this bottle won't last long.
The sister-in-law is off to St.Kitts and Tortola this week, so I have placed my next order!!
