When in the Tampa area, definitely check out Fine Wine & Spirits Warehouse located at 4023 Gandy Blvd in Tampa.

We met Terry Arnold, the co-owner who was very helpful and knew his rums! He had a great vintage and dessert wine selection too.

The bounty I made off with:
Gosling's Old
Appleton 21 Yr
Olo (a new Brazilian spiced rum)
Ron Centenario Anejo

The other rum buillion that could not be taken:
Barcelo Imperial
Zacapa 15 & 23
Mt Gay XO and Sugar Cane
St. James
Matusalem Gran Reserva
Santa Teresa 1796
and about 2 dozen others

He did have a poor selection of Agricoles and Cachacas however. It was well worth the $25 cab ride each way to get there!

I look forward to hearing how the Brazilian spiced rum, Olo goes down the hatch!

Too bad on the cab ride! That equates to another two decent bottles of rum!

The Appleton 21 year was $70. Up here, it is $130.

My buddy picked up a Santa Teresa 1796 for $28. Up here, its $45.

You can say it paid for our cab ride right there!

Wow... big difference! I find it strange the price variances on some of these products, city to city, state to state.

Like I've mentioned before, here, where i live Pyrat XO is $34.99. In the Chicago area it is pretty much $24.99 all day long. Don Q Cristal up there, $11-$13 a bottle, here, it's about $16. Cruzan (all the flavored rums) here are $13.99 a bottle. They're all $9.99 in the Chicago area.

I agree - your cab fare was well spent (very well spent)!
