I'll be doing what I do best, drinking rum and talking about various rums on the bar, at Bourbon in Washington, DC on April 7 during happy hour. I hope to post a time later. Hope to meet some of the members and a lurker or two then.

Don't forget the all-important stupor delegates.

In the old days elections were held in the public houses, maybe we should go back to some proven traditions, at least our forefathers didn't have to deal with hanging chads.

I'm terribly sad that I'll be out of town when you are here in DC. I really would have enjoyed meeting you over a glass of Bourbon's finest. Enjoy your time in our fair city.

The address is 2321 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009. Their phone number is 202 322 0800 and here is their website (http://www.bourbondc.com/). I've not been there yet, but it looks like a nice place and I'm assured they know their spirits and want to have more and better rums behind their bar.

Greetings all.
On April 7, we're going to be doing a little bit of a trade event first, and then welcome the public from about 7:30. We'll be at the upstairs bar at Bourbon in Adams Morgan. We'll have the rhums. And Bourbon's food is good, good bar food :). It'll be pretty informal, more a meet-and-greet than a formal event. Come out and see us!

Hey, a little publicity. (http://blog.washingtonpost.com/goingoutgurus/2008/04/nightlife_agenda_2.html)
Speaking of which, Fritz Hahn also asked me about the potential of getting Trois Rivieres rhum into the States. Any ideas?

Thank you to all the industry people and consumers I had the opportunity to meet last night at Bourbon. It was especially nice to see more than a few old friends, put a few faces to names and meet some people who are very passionate about my favorite spirit. I look forward to getting back to the DC area this summer.
