Hello
I have been drinkig rhum since I "discovered" it in 1998. It started with Bacardi Superior Blanco and coke like for most others. The taste was just better than other spirits and i kept with it for some years till i found some old bottles of rhum in my fathers loft. The last years the interest has increased radically and I consider rhum drinking as my hobby.

My taste of rhum is rather sweet and slight light, but I enjoy all quality types of rhum.

My favorite non expensive rhums are Matusalem 7 anyos (solera)
and Pampero Especial.

Hi I see your from stockholm. I am in stockholm quite often, becouse my girlfriend is from stockholm. Ill go to sjцgress soon i think. Ill hope to find some nice bottles there and maybe try something new there. I saw you recomended a tiki bar at grunerlцkka somewhere. Strange. Its just one block from away from carib, a caribbean restaurant, wich also have a lot of rum. Its run by a caribbean family, wich i happen to know. By the way 3 friends and I have a rum club. We just meet with som bottles of rum. We taste and discuss the rum. Neverless, if you come to oslo again you must meet us.

I am also a new guy and hey,,,,,I guess you gotta start somewhere so welcome. I stated drinking rum when I first joined the Marine Corps back in 1990, but got carried away and stopped drinking until a few months ago when someone brought a bottle of rum over and it just lit my fire again. Thank god I am much older and wiser now,,,and mainly just stay home and enjoy a good drink before bed, but in some other threads I had mentioned I am really looking for that one that will send me to the moon. I do hope it will take a long time until I find it, but so far I have enjoyed going out and trying other bottles here and there, but have found Appleton Estates is a great start and great for the taste buds.

Any way,,,,,welcome to the forum.....from a US Marine.....
